In working out specific steps for the Identity scenario at the upcoming ONC FAST Security & Identity connectathon track, curious to hear who has interest in bringing a preliminary $match operation client or server, such that the match works like search does today, but per the existing $match operation, the match request is a POST to [base]/Patient/$match and the B2B and B2C aspects of the scenario include candidate minimum attributes as discussed in this thread? @Jim StClair @Reece Adamson @Isaac Vetter @Brenda Chin @Jeff Helman @Dennis Patterson @Jason Vogt @Tedford Johnson @Josh Mandel ? Are there permutations on this that would allow you to participate?

In profiling the onlyCertainMatches parameter within the operation $match, we had discussed using count=1 to require that at most one match should be returned in a patient access workflow, however in the cross-organization match use case we're concerned with, there may be an EMPI service that is returning results from multiple sources. In this case should more than one match be permitted and do we want to just increase the permitted count to represent that, or should count=1 be clarified as meaning "1 result per source"? The latter seems more in line with what we intend.

Hi Julie, After talking with Luis, it may make sense for a CommonWell representative to attend this track and talk about how we handle our matching. We wouldn't be able to have a server but can bring knowledge of how we do matching. I will talk to Liz and Paul about this.

@Jason Vogt that would be great! Since the profiling work in the $match part of the Identity IG relates substantively to parameter characteristics, that type of input is excellent and definitely welcomed. If interested parties would like to identify a subset of the afternoon time where they are interested in focused discussion on attributes, I'll post the hour time slots here and those with availability constraints might thumbs-up preferred times.

I went ahead and scheduled two policy sessions, at 1pm each day, since these needed to be in the capture for Whova. Track page

Having some trouble accessing the track page right now but wanted to share the FAST Identity Track Prep Call #2 recording for those who missed it. Our final connectathon Identity track prep call will be Monday 9/13 at 1pm Eastern. 'Til the connectathon page issue is resolved, there is plenty of discussion in this stream that can be reviewed including patient matching attributes & their verification Hope to speak with many of you at the event!
