I found a nice, geeky, online decoder -- https://ehealth.vyncke.org/index.php
I checked with the author, Eric Vyncke. He said he intends to put the source into github. It is based on much of the reference code you all put.

Ours is open source, all QR standards in one: https://github.pathcheck.org/debug.html :)

Awesome on both counts! (The one John pointed to does take the cake for providing full visibility into the QR encoding -- but this is perhaps a bit below the abstraction barrier for most of us. For me at least ;-))

yes, the one I found is purely geeky. would never recommend it to anyone outside of spec writers.

I also like that it allows to upload the QR picture.
