Got some patient feedback about QR codes and vaccine credentials. Biohacking community thinks we should do shortlink to an IIS / vaccination registry, and that Aztec / MicroQR formats should be supported, so they're small enough to tattoo on someone.

On the subject of whether to embed data vs link to data: https://github.com/smart-on-fhir/health-cards/pull/49 and https://github.com/smart-on-fhir/health-cards/pull/50 have our discussion on this point, and capture some of the rationale for our choice to embed.

A downstream user can always create a short-link to a publicly hosted (or authz-protected) copy of a health card, though -- so from the biohacking use case perspective, you should be able to build this nicely on top of SMART Health Cards.

It's a quirky viewpoint, but I have a feeling that there will be a group of folks that keep coming back to QR tattoos as an appropriate/acceptable workflow or haptic for their particular clinical scenario (cyclists getting hit by a car, universal donors, etc). I feel like it's maybe worth a FAQ item.
