It's a bit mystifying that Patient.name.period is allowed, but only one Patient.name is allowed.
From conversations with other countries, name may need to allow multiple entries at least in the fallback profile, to support names expressed in different character sets (perhaps with different use). I haven't heard a direct need for different tracking an array of historical names by period.

But should prohibit period in US Patient name. And probably generally. The name you were using when you had the immunization
