Is this a misconfiguration made by me? I am not able to run datacapturegallery as installing it returns with Launch succeeded but no app has been installed.

It's working for me so you can probably try invalidating cache and restarting the IDE. If it still doesn't work you can try building the debug apk and then installing it on your device.

@Aditya Kurkure thanks it works now. Additionally, it needed a rebuild, and datacapturegallery is working now.

@anubhav heads up for a lot of R errors while working in this app. When you face these errors,you will have to consistently clean project-> rebuild project mostly and/or invalidate cache->restart project.
