For the Italian guide I'd like to start working on the representation of the EHIC. (but I'm not in a hurry :-) )
The example reported in the fhir core specs doesn't seem to fit with the information present in the real EU Card

Some work is being done on ID, related to eIDAS. e.g. the health-eid project. To my knowledge not so much related to Coverage and EHIC. Not sure if there is a use case for a European coverage profile. In the German Coverage profile I do not see EHIC data included: https://simplifier.net/basisprofil-de-r4/coveragedegkv

I don't see either a use case for a European coverage profile :-)
But since the content of the EHIC is common for 31 countries (https://ec.europa.eu/social/main.jsp?catId=653&langId=en) and it is a typical information captured for foreign citizens covered by EU health Insurance .

I was wondering if we could share a common representation of these data, maybe simply starting with the list of the OIDs/Urls used to describe the identification system of the "Personal Identification Number" used for the EHIC field #6.
