Some decisions to make:
- should we give EU-specific names to ValueSets, e.g. covid-19-diseases --> eu-dcc-covid-19-diseases? I believe these are specific to the EU.
- should we remove all bindings for Observation.code for test results (and add binding to Observation.method)?

no preferences, in any case the canonical url of this value set will tell you that this value set is defined for the EU DCC IG

mmhh not totally convinced about removing the binding ..

if not relevant for the certificate and if we'd like to leave some freedom for the national derived guides we can choose to make the binding with the COVID test codes preferred or example (instead of extensible)

Should we slice on code system to include NPU codes as well then? Or just leave it open? For just Observation.code that is.

If we aim to keep the IG to be used for SVC and EU DCC we would need to specify somewhere that the ValueSet is specific to the EU implementaion.

Yes this could be a good approach.
In this case should we keep in the guide also the LOINC / NPU value sets map(s) ?

Why is it considered to make bindings beyond the term bindings of what is stated in the DGC? Is there a use case building a COVID certificate beyond that?

The guide includes/will include a forward and a backward mapping between the FHIR profiles and the elements used in the JSON schemas. The content of the JSON schema are/will be represented as FHIR logical model.

there is not (or not yet ?) structure maps that makes this transformation automatic.
But if there is anyone planning to develop them we could add to the guide...

Im pretty sure DK didn't end up using FHIR as I'm the one leading the team that built it.

@Jens Villadsen hmm.... the English coronapass starts off as Immunization and Observation FHIR API's. Had assumed it was ending up a Digital Green Cert (it may be), like DK (is that DGC?).

FHIR has low traction on the national level in DK, so nothing starts out as FHIR there - and yes, DK uses DGC
