Topic: use of PIVL_TS
Jens Villadsen (Apr 16 2020 at 10:41):
How do you state every wednesday
in effectiveTime in CDA?
Matt Szczepankiewicz (Apr 24 2020 at 16:28):
Hey Jens--maybe you've already gotten an answer for this in the past week, but I think the upshot is to use a PIVL_TS with @alignment="DW":
<effectiveTime xsi:type="PIVL_TS" alignment="DW"> <phase> <!-- Apr 22 2020 was a Wednesday --> <low value="20200422" /> <width value="1" unit="d" /> </phase> <period value="1" unit="wk" /> </effectiveTime>
Matt Szczepankiewicz (Apr 24 2020 at 21:05):
I'm not sure whether it's better to include the width or whether that would imply "all day every Wednesday" though.
Jens Villadsen (Apr 26 2020 at 13:22):
Thx.
Jens Villadsen (Apr 26 2020 at 13:23):
When I asked the question I didn't realize that I was restricted to the use of IVL_TS (forgot to mention) at the time of posting
Jens Villadsen (Apr 26 2020 at 13:24):
Since my use is in observation and not substanceAdministration, I can only use IVL_TS
Matt Szczepankiewicz (Apr 27 2020 at 17:56):
Ah, gotcha. Yeah, I don't think there's any way to represent a periodic interval in an observation/effectiveTime
.
