XDS / CDA question for my CDA/XDS comrades: are you familiar with any use and coupling of externalDocuments and XDS associations in any XDS setups that uses this binding actively to group related documents?

Some time ago, we published a profile for v2 MDM messages. This guide contains a mapping between v2 and CDA/v3 https://wiki.hl7.de/index.php?title=HL7v2-Profile_MDM-Nachrichten#Anhang_A:_Mapping_auf_HL7_V3 , and also a mapping of the v2 events to corresponding XDS transactions https://wiki.hl7.de/index.php?title=HL7v2-Profile_MDM-Nachrichten#Anhang_B:_Mapping_auf_IHE_XDS , the latter implies the codes for XDS document association.
