Hi All,
I have a question regarding using CDA elements not defined by CCD body constraints.
Example- as per CDA model (RMIM), any ClinicalStatement can have 0...* participant elements which provide entity participating in the event.
but CCD Results section (2.16.840.1.113883.10.20.22.2.3.1) provides result organizer which can have multiple Observation components. Both result organizer and Observation component can have Author (CCDA R2.1 spec) but they do not define any linking to participant, product, specimen participation classes.
So, does it mean that CCD does not allow to use these elements defined in CDA but not part of CCD section definition?
Looking for some help on this. Thanks.
