Is there a (alpha/beta) version of the v2.x specification (published using the FHIR IG tools) out there on the internet somewhere? It would be nice to be able to show this future direction to attendees of our online HL7 v2 training course.. @Frank Oemig ?

Quite a bit of work has already been done, but also still has to be done. Are there any time lines on this (i.e. this type of spec being the normative publication) ?

We are working oin several things in parallel: fixing bugs in v2.x, technical terminology, integration of all parts, tool stack, persistence layer, structure and layout. What you can see at the refactored site, thx Grahame, is what we are aiming at. Our plan is to have something ready for comment for the next ballot cycle. What you can see is something I generate with scripts from my database. With that procedure we are collecting requirements to get it done. The primary challenge is making it persisting with FHIR resources so that the whole process can be done with FHIR tools. That would be something where FHIR can take advantage from.
