My team wants to communicate a message that indicates that an allergy has become irrelevant, is no longer present for a patient.
The AL1 message does not foresee the transmission of an allergy status (active/inactive).What would the recommendation of your organization be?
It looks like the IAM segment would be able to convey that information.

You might also want to look at chapter 2.10.4 in v2.8.2 (it's in other versions too, but I know the chapter reference is accurate for v2.8.2) for guidance on 'snapshot' mode. That's a tricky concept though and so you want to make sure you know how your potential trading partners deal with repeating segments like AL1.

On a related note, does any one know why IAM is only present in A60 messages and not in other AL1 containing messages?
