Whilst testing my tool to generate FSH from FHIR instances. I decided to process the R4 release. Initially, this balked at the following, when I overcame that the generated FSH definitely did not like those characters. I'm not sure whether the values are valid or not. Either FHIR or SUSHI may need a tweak... image.png

where did you get this from?

@Grahame Grieve I got it from the download pack for R4 but you can also see it at http://hl7.org/fhir/R4/v2/0550/v2-0550.cs.json

It may not be the only CS with this issue, its just the first one I processed.

ok thanks. it's an error in the v3 source that predates FHIR.

I'm trying to determine if there is any required action on SUSHI. Based on @Richard Kavanagh's link above, I see that the " " and `"Â " codes are direct from the FHIR source definition (which Grahame indicated is an error). Was the SUSHI issue that it mis-handles these somehow? If so, how?

It's possibly not a direct SUSHI issue after all - I was creating FSH codes without wrapping them in quotes. I guess if I did wrap them in quotes it may have worked, I did not try that.

Ah. OK. Yeah, if they have a space in them, then you need to wrap in ". Otherwise, unwrapped should be fine.

I don't think this is a sushi issue
