No, he's right. Drinking American beer leaves you motivated because you're just drinking flavoured water. Canadian beer actually has a noticeable amount of alcohol

These days there are many American micro-brews that have a wide selection of almost any type of bear you would want. It's not just the big American beer companies anymore. --- actually, I think the biggest US beer company (Budweiser) is now owned by a European company so can you still call it ;'American beer' ;-)
