Topic: Rendering of STU3 IPS profiles broken?
Morten Ernebjerg (Oct 09 2019 at 08:38):
Looks like there a problem with the rendering of the IG profiles for the STU3 IPS. E.g. for the AllergyIntolerance profile
http://hl7.org/fhir/uv/ips/2018May/StructureDefinition-allergyintolerance-uv-ips.html
the differential view only contains a single entry although the actual differential is much larger (e.g. several must-support fields).

Is this a known issue?
Giorgio Cangioli (Oct 09 2019 at 20:04):
Hi @Morten Ernebjerg are you looking for an STU3 version of the IPS ?
Morten Ernebjerg (Oct 10 2019 at 19:13):
Hi @Giorgio Cangioli, yes, I was looking for which one to use for systems based on STU3- I was assuming that the IPS STU1 Ballot 1 version (http://hl7.org/fhir/uv/ips/2018May/) would be the right one since it is the only released version based on 3.0.1. Or am I getting this wrong?
Alexander Zautke (Oct 10 2019 at 20:48):
My advice would rather be that you should port back the current profiles to STU3 as closely as possible, if STU3 is absolutely necessary to use. There have been major changes after that version (like relaxing many 0..0 constraints and use mustSupport instead).
Alexander Zautke (Oct 10 2019 at 20:51):
And looking at the change log, that issue with missing elements in the differential got fixed in a subsequent version after porting the content to R4
Giorgio Cangioli (Oct 11 2019 at 08:29):
If you need to use an STU3 version of the IPS, I suggest not to look at the 2018 may ballot no maintained as STU3 based IG, but to the Trillium II project IG. http://hl7.eu/fhir/ig/trillium2 .
It includes some additional information not present in the current IPS (e.g. an Encounters section), but it is the closest thing to the IPS that uses FHIR STU3.
Giorgio Cangioli (Oct 11 2019 at 08:32):
The project is closed, but I've the intent to realign the content with the changes that will be applied to the IPS after the ballot....in reality the intent was to move at that point the Trillium II guide to R4 as well, but we can talk about this..
Morten Ernebjerg (Oct 14 2019 at 09:16):
@Alexander Zautke @Giorgio Cangioli Thanks for the helpful pointers, good to know! I will need to check how closely my use case is tied to STU3.
Morten Ernebjerg (Oct 14 2019 at 11:50):
Maybe for my understanding, in case you have the time  What is the relation between IPS, the Trillium II project (and, possibly, also the European standard cf. other recent thread in this stream)?
