Topic: IPS Track Connectathon 26
Rob Hausam (Jan 13 2021 at 22:22):
Welcome to the IPS Track! I hope we're all looking forward to the next two days and what we can accomplish for advancing the specification and implementations of the International Patient Summary (IPS). We can use this topic for our general track-related communications. And we can create separate specific Zulip topics as we need to for any particular issues where that will be useful. We had great attendance at the track kickoff call today. During the kickoff call it was suggested to move the Inferno session to 10:00 AM PST (rather than 9:00). I've updated that on the track Confluence page and am letting the organizers know so that they can update Whova with that for tomorrow. I will be sending out proposed times for the additional track breakout sessions, so you can be looking for that. Looking forward to connecting up tomorrow!
Joan Harper (Jan 14 2021 at 00:47):
I see that the recorded Kickoff session is now available.
Thanks for that.

at that time I've a FAIR break out session... I'll catch up later :-)
Rob Hausam (Jan 14 2021 at 16:51):
I'm sorry that doesn't work for you, @Giorgio Cangioli . :( It's turned out to be impossible to schedule it for both New Zealand and Europe. I don't see any other open times today. If there is enough interest (and I think there might be), if it works for the Inferno team I wonder if we want to try to schedule another Inferno session tomorrow? @Reece Adamson @Yunwei Wang
Rob Hausam (Jan 14 2021 at 16:56):
I'm also struggling to find when we can schedule our other IPS breakout sessions. As we suspected on the kickoff yesterday, it looks like we probably won't have enough slots to accommodate all of them. This is the list that we had yesterday (re-ordered with my idea of priority):
- "On-demand" IPS
- IPS request and transport mechanism (including IHE)
- Encounters and additional resources in the IPS
- Finalize and review technical correction content
- IPS Intro session
We're going to have to come up with some post-Connectathon opportunities to do some of this, which we can do.
Rob Hausam (Jan 14 2021 at 16:59):
And just a reminder that our sessions tomorrow will be on Saturday for Australia and New Zealand (Asia-Pacific).
Reece Adamson (Jan 14 2021 at 17:02):
@Rob Hausam and @Giorgio Cangioli happy to talk about it again on another day or casually go over it on the call whenever
Rob Hausam (Jan 14 2021 at 17:06):
Thanks, @Reece Adamson!
Rob Hausam (Jan 14 2021 at 17:09):
I'm going to propose that we do the "On-demand" IPS session at 11:00 AM PT (20:00 CET) tomorrow. Does that work for you, @Giorgio Cangioli and @Robert Stegwee?
Rob Hausam (Jan 14 2021 at 17:10):
If we do that we will need to move the IPS track highlights session, but I'm sure we can figure out another time for that.
Giorgio Cangioli (Jan 14 2021 at 17:11):
@Rob Hausam @Robert Stegwee Yes 11 AM PT (20:00 CET) is fine for me(I need to move to another session however at 12 PT)
Rob Hausam (Jan 14 2021 at 17:15):
OK. That sounds fine. I'm also looking for times for "IPS request and transport mechanism (including IHE)" and "Encounters and additional resources in the IPS".
Rob Hausam (Jan 14 2021 at 17:22):
I think we can move (and possibly shorten to 30 min each) the IPS and Terminology Services wrap-up sessions. If we do that, can we schedule the "IPS request and transport mechanism (including IHE)" session at 1:00 PM PT (22:00 CET) and "Encounters and additional resources in the IPS" at 2:00 PM PT (23:00 CET) tomorrow? @Giorgio Cangioli @Robert Stegwee
Giorgio Cangioli (Jan 14 2021 at 17:55):
Hi @Rob Hausam the agenda still includes the International Patient Summary - Inferno Project, IPS Overview, Update 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM PT.
Rob Hausam (Jan 14 2021 at 17:58):
yes
Joan Harper (Jan 14 2021 at 19:01):
Are there any IPS sessions or work happening now? or is it nothing until the vaccination data session?
Rob Hausam (Jan 15 2021 at 03:13):
I've asked HQ to add our sessions for tomorrow, but they haven't made it into Whova yet. Here are the topics and times:
- 11:00 - 12:00 AM PT "On-demand" IPS
- 1:00 - 2:00 PM PT IPS request and transport mechanism (including IHE)
- 2:00 - 3:00 PM PT Encounters and additional resources in the IPS
In order for these sessions to be added we also need to reschedule the IPS track highlights and wrap-up sessions, and I'm working on how would be best to do that.
Rob Hausam (Jan 15 2021 at 03:25):
I've also asked to reschedule the IPS wrap-up session for 3:00 - 3:30 PT. That's midnight to 12:30 AM Saturday in Europe and 12:00 noon Saturday in New Zealand. That's the best that I was able to come up with and have the additional sessions. So sorry about that (and if you prefer to sleep or enjoy lunch that's fine)!
Rob Hausam (Jan 15 2021 at 14:15):
Do you have some ideas that you would like to try for "connecting" in the IPS track? Now would be a good time for that, before our 10:00 AM PT "gender harmony" session. I am available now and for most of the time until then.
Rob Hausam (Jan 15 2021 at 14:16):
Also, we are planning to have the sessions today that I posted above. Apologies that they aren't in Whova yet, but we're trying to make that happen and hopefully it will soon.
Rob Hausam (Jan 15 2021 at 14:50):
All of the session updates have been made in Whova, so that's good. I'll be away for about 20 minutes and then I'm planning to open up the Zoom meeting for any track discussion and activity that we want to have.
Joan Harper (Jan 15 2021 at 15:33):
Were the Inferno and Vaccination sessions recorded yesterday?
David Hay (Jan 15 2021 at 17:13):
Just to remind me for the 'on demand' session: https://build.fhir.org/ig/grahamegrieve/ipa-candidate/
Rob Hausam (Jan 15 2021 at 18:06):
@Joan Harper Yes, those sessions yesterday were recorded (or at least they should have been). I'm not sure if the recordings are available yet, but we can check.
Ken Sinn (Apr 20 2021 at 15:57):
@Rob Hausam Could you remind me what the outcome of the discussion on inclusion of Encounter resources in IPS?
Yunwei Wang (Apr 22 2021 at 17:35):
@Rob Hausam I checked the CI build but didn't see the Bundle profile. Where can I get it?
Rob Hausam (Apr 22 2021 at 22:06):
Sorry, @Yunwei Wang. I have several issues with it that I'm working on at the same time and I haven't gotten the updates sorted out with the trackers and committed yet - so right now they are still local to my machine. I hoped to get the commits on it done last night, but didn't get there yet, but I will definitely finish that tonight. In the meantime I can just send you the profile if you want (but it might be best to have the full package).
