Topic: Encounter Report (HCER) work after Trillium II?
Morten Ernebjerg (Jun 15 2020 at 11:43):
Hi  I am looking at the artefacts from the Trillium II project and trying to understand the place of the Encounter Report (HCER) clinical document that is defined alongside the IPS. Has any further work been done on this, e.g. in connection with the work on the STU1 IPS? Or is the corresponding information now envisioned to be collected and integrated with the IPS in a different manner?
Giorgio Cangioli (Jun 15 2020 at 12:57):
Hi @Morten Ernebjerg the HCER document in Trillium II project realizes with FHIR the same concept of Encounter Report introduced in epSOS II , but then not implemented in eHDSI.
Giorgio Cangioli (Jun 15 2020 at 12:59):
the reporting after an encounter is not in the scope of the (current) IPS.
Giorgio Cangioli (Jun 15 2020 at 13:02):
The idea for this minimal non-exhaustive report was that of reusing the same "components" defined for the Patient Summary, plus some additional ones as the encounters history or some discharge information
Giorgio Cangioli (Jun 15 2020 at 13:04):
to be understood if this topic might be part of a possible evolution of the IPS project (bout not currently in scope either of the ISO/DIS 27269) or of some future European development.
Giorgio Cangioli (Jun 15 2020 at 13:06):
in that case we could move the discussion under the europe stream.
Giorgio Cangioli (Jun 15 2020 at 13:08):
Consider that the discharge hospital report will be one of the 4 topics of the X-ehealth project that will start in September .
Giorgio Cangioli (Jun 15 2020 at 13:09):
I hope that i that context it could be continued the work started in Trillium II.
Giorgio Cangioli (Jun 15 2020 at 13:10):
anything to add @Christof Gessner ?
Christof Gessner (Jun 15 2020 at 14:20):
The EU commission recommendation on a European EHR exchange format mentions the "hospital discharge summary", this comes close to the concept of HCER. Will most likely be in scope of an upcoming EU-funded project starting later this year.
Morten Ernebjerg (Jun 16 2020 at 14:31):
Thanks @Giorgio Cangioli & @Christof Gessner!
