We want to make you aware of the upcoming 2021 CMS HL7® FHIR® Connectathon that will take place on July 20-22, 2021. The goals for this event are to:

  • Educate interested parties at CMS and within the health IT community about HL7 FHIR, FHIR implementation guides (IGs) developed by the Da Vinci Project and the CARIN Alliance and their real-world uses.
  • Support impacted stakeholders as they comply with the CMS and ONC interoperability rules.
  • Engage providers, payers, and partners to join the growing collaborative FHIR community and directly access associated free and open resources.

Please register here: http://www.hl7.org/events/cms/

Please sign up for the CARIN IG for Blue Button® track here: http://bit.ly/CARIN_Track

Thanks @Mark Roberts We are signed up! We should look at what overlap might exist between this track and Da Vinci PDex to ensure we have solid coordination on testing - so that orgs arent torn between one track or the other.

I am trying to register for this Connect-a-thon and it is asking me to register in Confluence page. I did registration part and no notification received with password. Can someone help me on how I can get the login details enabled for confluence page?

If you have not already, there may be several places you need to register.

  1. Register an account on hl7.org: https://www.hl7.org/login/ under "New to HL7? Please Create User Account"
  2. Register for the CMS Connectathon event using the "Register" button found on this page by July 1: https://www.hl7.org/events/cms/
  3. Register in Confluence by clicking the blue button "Request an account": https://confluence.hl7.org/

Confluence is where we manage a lot of the materials across HL7, including Connectathon materials and track information.

So I'm signed up for my track and went to the info session this week. I'm still a bit confused about how to actually attend. I need to be on Whova? Will I get sent a link? Thanks

view this post on Zulip Corey Spears (Jul 16 2021 at 22:15):

@Sam Dikeman , I see you listed as an Attendee. Can you access the Whova site?

Hi, is the Provider Directory slide deck going to be uploaded on the confluence page? I was interested in the sample data link it had in one of the slides.

view this post on Zulip Corey Spears (Jul 28 2021 at 21:23):

Provider directory is not part of the CARIN BlueButton IG. Is this a question about a different IG or Connectathon track or perhaps another project that CARIN presented on the CARIN BB track?

view this post on Zulip shaifali (Jul 30 2021 at 17:19):

You're right. I should ask on the Da Vinci stream. Thanks!
