We want to make you aware of the upcoming Da Vinci Education & FHIR Implementation Event that will take place October 27-29. CARIN IG leads will participate in the event, however, a number of payers in the CARIN Community have indicated that they will not be able to attend the Implementation Event due to other obligations so it is unlikely that any client/server testing will take place for CARIN IG for Blue Button®. Event Goals
• Educate the health IT community about HL7 FHIR and FHIR IGs developed by the Da Vinci and the CARIN Alliance
• Help participants prepare to meet the CMS/ONC Final Rules
• Engage the community to participate in the FHIR community
What To Expect
Individuals and organizations at all levels of HL7 FHIR expertise are encouraged to participate.
• Organizations with limited FHIR experience
o Advance expertise and prepare to kick start FHIR development activities with basic FHIR education and additional IGs
• Organizations already working with FHIR but not engaged in payer based IGs
o Gain better understanding of the IGs' relationship to final rule requirements
• Those who have already begun implementation of these IGs
o Leverage the opportunity to test implementation with others
