From some of the past discussions listed on confluence I see that there was mention of a new Resource definition for Characteristics and that there may have been some follow on work with regards to that. Is that still the case and if so is it targeting R5? I also see there some churn in the EvidenceVariable resource definition going on so curious as to what direction things are heading.

EvidenceVariable is revised substantially to support expression of Eligibility Criteria. This results in no need to create a Characteristic Resource. There is an Eligibility Criteria Track for the May Connectathon.
