@Joshua Procious or anyone - is it possible to set up our minutes' attendance table to count entries in a column?

I try to do attendance on the fly, comparing the GoToMeeting participants list against our pre-populated list of "usual suspect" attendees. GTM shows a tally of how many are in the room, and it would be great if the table could do the same, for comparison.

Good morning @Dave deBronkart Yes, please check out the page now: https://confluence.hl7.org/display/PE/2020-10-29+Patient+Empowerment+WG+Agenda I have added an "Advanced Table" macro and just thrown the table inside of it. In the advanced table settings, I've selected "Number Rows". Also, please note that in your url above you've copied and pasted a link to a Confluence page while it was being edited. In this case it was fine because no changes were made. If there were edits done, it can cause a lot of issues. Please be sure to publish a page fully before copy and pasting the url.

Thanks, @Joshua Procious , but it's not quite what I wanted  I'll only want to count the cells in the Present column that are non-empty (or have a "y")

There are two glitches in what you so generously did (and I do appreciate it):

  • The list includes names that sometimes show up and sometimes don't. I only want to count the Presents
  • The row numbers including my heading rows, Co-chairs and Participants.

Is there hope for another way?

Much appreciated, again - your timely response is always so great

Hello Dave, Understood. Please check it out now: https://confluence.hl7.org/display/PE/2020-10-29+Patient+Empowerment+WG+Agenda I've added a counter on the "Present" column to check and count (at bottom) all non empty cells. I've added in two random "x's" so that you may see. Please let me know if you're looking for something else!

Holy cow @Joshua Procious - wonderful magic! I didn't see a notification of this here so I only saw it when I finished the minutes. I owe you a something-or-other next time we meet. Right now in New Hampshire hot chocolate seems about right. Thank you!

You're welcome @Dave deBronkart ! I'll never turn down hot chocolate :)

Hm, @Joshua Procious it appears the table wrapper's metadata is getting distributed as content in our emails of the minutes. Can that be defeated somehow?

@Dave deBronkart It looks like someone is copying all data from the page before sending it on the distro list. Do you know how the format of that email was produced?

view this post on Zulip Dave deBronkart (Nov 02 2020 at 17:41):

:-) I cannot claim to know "how" (much less why) the format was produced, but it appears to have been perpetrated by Confluence itself in response to an edit:

Ah yes, indeed it was by an edit. There is no way to mark out the meta data because for all intents that metadata of the macro may change.
