For those following along, the primary care IG build can be found at http://build.fhir.org/ig/aehrc/primary-care-data-technical/index.html. Its very, very preliminary at present
Jim Steel (Mar 07 2019 at 00:28):
@Brett Esler It has your sample patients in it, FYI. They have a few issues in the build logs, that we're looking at
Jim Steel (Mar 07 2019 at 00:33):
I like the ethnicity extension - it would be good to find a non-oridashi (perhaps abs or something?) url for it and add it into AU base
Brett Esler (Mar 07 2019 at 03:04):
cool- some tips: turn off the snapshot generation in Forge; put a root element (Patient) in (can do this by putting in a short description or any change in Forge) - IG builder likes that for display
Brett Esler (Mar 07 2019 at 03:05):
have any good terminology for ethnicity?

At the clinical meeting, someone (?Frank Pyefinch maybe) recommended an ABS set. Not sure which one though. Possibly 1249.0 - Australian Standard Classification of Cultural and Ethnic Groups (ASCCEG), 2016

Jim Steel (Mar 07 2019 at 03:09):
I think that's the same ABS source as Brett had in his sample patient?
Jim Steel (Mar 07 2019 at 03:10):
(and Yes, it was Frank who mentioned that)
Jim Steel (Mar 07 2019 at 03:11):
@Brett Esler good tips, thanks. Ontoserver needs the snapshot for validation, I think, but I can put the differential-only one in the IG
Jim Steel (Mar 07 2019 at 03:20):
I have a suspicion that skipping the snapshot generation will also avoid the problems I was having with url elements having examples that aren't valid urls
Brian Postlethwaite (Mar 07 2019 at 21:54):
The IG builder will expand them itself.
Brian Postlethwaite (Mar 07 2019 at 21:54):
Does meteor have ethnicity defined?
Jim Steel (Mar 07 2019 at 23:07):
Yeah, references the ABS set https://meteor.aihw.gov.au/content/index.phtml/itemId/689474

Jim Steel (Mar 07 2019 at 23:08):
I'm cutting a CodeSystem version of it this morning, should be done soon
Jim Steel (Mar 07 2019 at 23:09):
Although one of the motivating cases for its clinical use was Ashkenazi, which isn't in there
Brett Esler (Mar 07 2019 at 23:14):
think there is a case for having NCTS terminology for this - start with ABS equivalents then can add to it - ABS sets cannot be added to easily as it is externally controlled - we had a similar issue for ANZSCO and decided to maintain a new value set for roles
Jim Steel (Mar 07 2019 at 23:52):
I'm happy to follow whichever pattern people think is best. For the moment I'm just using it as practice for adding new things into the PC profile, but it probably should move to base, with terminology in the NCTS in some guise
