Howdy,
I've started scoping out Epic's CRD Client and one of the features we were most excited about was being able to discretely determine when auth is not required (not via needing an end user to read free text), in order to automatically skip doing a lot of unnecessary downstream work. However looking though the spec I'm struggling to see where this is defined.

There's some related language in
http://build.fhir.org/ig/HL7/davinci-crd/hooks.html#configuration-options-extension
http://build.fhir.org/ig/HL7/davinci-crd/hooks.html#annotate
http://build.fhir.org/ig/HL7/davinci-crd/hooks.html#pre-emptive-prior-authorization
but nothing definitive.

Also some related tickets:
https://jira.hl7.org/browse/FHIR-33225
https://jira.hl7.org/browse/FHIR-34216

Are we currently in a state where provider and payer need to mutually define an extension, and if that goes well then it will later become a defined "SHALL" in the spec?
Thanks

@Lloyd McKenzie Could I get your input on this?

The extension will be defined and should show up hopefully tomorrow. Support for the extension isn't a SHALL for the EHR. We should probably make it a SHALL for payers though.
