Topic: Cannot get Demo flow working for CRD
Eva Khmelinskaya (Nov 17 2021 at 20:55):
Hi all,
Help needed!
I am trying to deploy the DRLS workflow demo, but cannot get the last step working (step 10 for order form retrieval)
Getting always an error - Failure when fetching ValueSet http://localhost:8090/fhir/r4/ValueSet/$expand?url=http://cts.nlm.nih.gov/fhir/ValueSet/2.16.840.1.113762.1.4.1219.31 Make sure CRD has ValueSets Loaded.
While some of ValueSets are loaded and okay, some are missing.
Seems like the data setup for Demo is now missing at cts.nlm.nih.gov?
Could anyone please help me setup the flow? Or help with directions to debug/check what is going wrong?
Also added an Git Issue with details: https://github.com/HL7-DaVinci/CRD/issues/254
Thankns!

Lloyd McKenzie (Nov 18 2021 at 00:20):
Please don't post Git issues against any HL7 specification. Instead use the 'propose a change' link at the bottom of any page in the relevant spec. (Let me know when the Jira ticket exists and I'll delete the Git issue). Though, if you're seeking help and not raising a problem with the spec, then don't raise an issue at all and just ask your questions here.
Where exactly did you get the code you're trying to run?
Eva Khmelinskaya (Nov 18 2021 at 01:14):
@Lloyd McKenzie Thank you for response, and I will follow the process as required.
There is no issue with the spec, however I believe there might be a problem with the demo setup and ValueSets being used. I am working on integration and need the flow to work, which might also require some support from the developers.
The code I got from git and these are the steps which I could not complete (step 10): https://github.com/HL7-DaVinci/CRD/blob/master/SetupGuideForMacOS.md
Much appreciated!

After whole day debugging it seems to me that problem is in the resources being used.
For example, I follow the demo steps and select patient William Oster.
In the /<drlsroot>/CDS-Library/CRD-DTR.org/HomeBloodGlucoseMonitor/R4/resources/ the json files contain references to the ValueSets which do not exist (any more?) - so nothing could be fetched.
I tried manually searching for 2.16.840.1.113762.1.4.1219.35 (which is Condition part of HomeBloodGlucoseMonitorLab) - but it does not exist in VSAC: https://vsac.nlm.nih.gov/valueset/expansions?pr=all&rel=Latest&q=E0250
Same with all other ValueSets used in the 'demo'.
Any idea why is it so? Anything I am missing?
Larry Decelles (Nov 18 2021 at 13:16):
Hello Eva, have you completed this step in the process? "To download the full ValueSets, your VSAC account will need to be added to the CMS-DRLS author group on https://vsac.nlm.nih.gov/. You will need to request membership access from an admin. The folks at MITRE can point you to an admin." If not this is most likely the problem. Regards, Larry
Eva Khmelinskaya (Nov 18 2021 at 16:13):
@Larry Decelles
Hi Larry, I have tried to contact NLM support and this is what they told me:
You have an account with email address ***
You can sign into VSAC (https://vsac.nlm.nih.gov) to view and download value sets. There is no need to add you to an authoring group, since you are not authoring value sets.
If your needs change, then a current member of the authoring group can add you as a group member. They will need to use the Group Management feature:
https://www.nlm.nih.gov/vsac/support/authorguidelines/groupmanage.html.
Therefore I was cut on that step.
Could you maybe direct me whom to approach instead?
Eva Khmelinskaya (Nov 18 2021 at 16:43):
More responses:
If you are trying to access draft value sets, then you do need authoring access. As our previous reply stated, a current member of the authoring group can add you as a group member. You must contact a group member and ask them to add you to the group. Start with the person or people that advised you to join the authoring group per the instructions in your previous message. They will need to use the Group Management feature to add you as a group member:
https://www.nlm.nih.gov/vsac/support/authorguidelines/groupmanage.html.
For me it is very unclear:
- Which access I need and who could help me?
Patrick LaRocque (Nov 18 2021 at 21:44):
Hi @Eva Khmelinskaya in order to access the ValueSets used by the reference implementation you will need to be added to the Authoring group. This is due to the ValueSets not being in a published state. If you could send me your VSAC/UMLS username then I can add you to the group.
