Let's use this thread to all introduce ourselves when we join.
I'm a Research Scientist I at Georgia Tech. We at Georgia Tech work with Paula Braun on a large scale initiative to bring
automatic APIs to death reporting, as well as using EHR/FHIR data to help inform the death record process.
We have had 2 implementors workgroups, and we had lots of enthusiasm from other groups too. Looking forward to seeing you all again!

We've been working hard on the VRDR IG, check it out at: http://build.fhir.org/ig/HL7/vrdr/

FWIW - I'm not officially involved with this (yet), but I've worked with the weekly death master index data in a former life at Northwestern University and it's been a passion-project / special interest of mine since then. I'm very interested in making this data easier to access for medical researchers. Right now I'm still trying to understand all the moving parts of the system - any learning materials / insights / suggestions are appreciated.
