Topic: Do dentists care?

See the discussion https://chat.fhir.org/#narrow/pm-with/m.2Erutten.40furore.2Ecom.2Ctoddcooperafc.40gmail.2Ecom/near/195628 ... @Michel Rutten & @Alexander Henket

@Alexander Henket dentist's comment makes sense ... but as we drill down into the storylines, I am confident that value to dentists will be clearly identified. At this point, they don't really know The Possible ... and if they have a good practice, then Life is Good!
Providing a new generation of cloud-based services (leveraging analytics, AI / ML, precision medicine, etc.) to care coordination with other healthcare (non-dental) providers to streamlined billing to blockchain-based "smart contracts" ... lot's of goodness to bring in $$$ to their practices. Just sayin' ...

I work on an EHR for dentists in Norway, so far we are only going to use FHIR for projects that originally were made for doctors and hospitals, like e prescription. I have seen OpenDental has support for FHIR, but other than that not much specific for dental.

Btw. I have seen this project for Dental and FHIR: https://github.com/handihealth/C4H_dental_challenge
And this: http://openodonto.org/

Great! Do you have access to the Confluence page “Dental Interop Home”?
Torgeir Amundsen (Nov 19 2018 at 14:12):
No I don't think so
Torgeir Amundsen (Dec 21 2018 at 18:50):
How can I get access there?
Torgeir Amundsen (Dec 28 2018 at 23:13):
@Todd Cooper
Thanks for the tip, I found the page, very interesting!
