Hi! I was fortunately able to see an awesome demo of some of the Da Vinci IGs in the HIMSS Interop Showcase (details), including an example of (I think) a patient scheduling an appointment into an EHR using the Argonaut Cross Enterprise Scheduling profile. Is there a Da Vinci project that builds on top of these Argonaut scheduling APIs? Or was the vignette simply capitalizing on this existing profile, in addition to showcasing all the new Da Vinci work?

Isaac, the scheduling appointment demo in the HIMSS Interop Showcase Da Vinci vignette is part of the Clinical Data Exchange (CDex) use case. This demo @ HIMSS provided the audience with a glimpse into this particular use case which is still in a draft state within Da Vinci. The CDex IG is not yet published and is currently in a proposal state within HL7. The initial IG content should be available late March/early April.

Thank you Richard! Following a bit of googling, I see the PSS and the under-dev IG.

I'm just trying to grok the scope of eCDX -- you're saying that it's still being figured out.

Do you mind if I ask if the potential Argonaut scheduling piece is enterprise-to-enterprise or, rather, patient-to-enterprise ?

I'm not fully engaged enough with the CDex IG work at this time to give you a definitive answer. I can say that the HIMSS Da Vinci vignette demonstrated the use of a Payer Patient Portal connecting to a Cardiologist's EHR. The implication (to me) is yes, enterprise-to-enterprise and/or patient-to-enterprise.
