I have found the new R5 SubscriptionStatus and SubscriptionTopic resources in R5 to be useful additions to the FHIR spec, particularly with respect to how these can be used to work with Task. Those new resources are proposed to be added into R4B as well. Once they're there, US-Core will likely introduce their use. Once ONC authorizes that version as "acceptable" for meeting regulatory requirements, Da Vinci IGs can point to it.

To clarify US Core does not have subscriptions on its roadmap. However, I cannot speak for ONC.
