Based on FHIR#18921, FHIR#20985, and FHIR#26215, it seems like the DaVinci projects have settled on using "payer" (vs "payor"). However, I noticed that the base Coverage resource is still using "payor"...is there an open jira issue of this and is there and appetite to change it?

Based on those DaVinci issues, I'm guessing "payer" would be preferred, so I opened FHIR#27881 against the core spec

For the base resource. Requirement is that we use U.S. spelling in resource names and descriptions

Can't make substantive changes to a published release. Fixing the name would be a breaking change.
