so I have a problem - both Indy and the mysql odbc driver use openSSL. RIght now, the versions have diverged, and trying to use the ODBC mysql driver and indy code means that one of them will be broken (depends which loads first).

the fix is to upgrade openSSL for indy - which is necessary anyway. But any openSSL upgrade requires updating to a new API, and the indy team doesn't have anyone scheduled to work on this. For now, it's not a direct for Indy, but it will be in a few months when OpenSSL stop supporting the current API that Indy is using....

it might be me how has to fix indy... maybe I'll do a gofundme....
