Topic: JSON version of FHIRPath tests?
Paul Lynch (Sep 18 2018 at 19:31):
Is there a JSON version of the patient-example.xml file and other resource files used for the FHIRPath tests (which @Bryn Rhodes showed me are at https://github.com/FHIR/fluentpath/tree/master/spec/test.zip)? If not, is it possible to easily convert that XML into JSON without knowledge of the FHIR resources? If not, is there a conversion tool available for converting an XML resource into JSON?
nicola (RIO/SS) (Sep 18 2018 at 20:14):
No it's no possible - we can use some online converters to do it once
Grahame Grieve (Sep 18 2018 at 20:16):
all those resources are just copies of the resources from the build. so you grab the json versions of those files from the appropriate build
Bryn Rhodes (Sep 18 2018 at 20:58):
You can also just post them to a server and then get them in JSON format, that's what I do when I need to convert between formats.
Paul Lynch (Sep 18 2018 at 21:39):
@Grahame Grieve By "the build" do you mean https://github.com/HL7/fhir? I found ./source/patient/patient-example.xml there, but not the JSON and didn't see a way to select a release.
Bryn Rhodes (Sep 18 2018 at 21:59):
I think Grahame is referring to the published specification: http://hl7.org/fhir/patient-example.json.html
Bryn Rhodes (Sep 18 2018 at 21:59):
And the raw
Grahame Grieve (Sep 18 2018 at 22:00):
yes
Paul Lynch (Sep 18 2018 at 22:17):
Very helpful-- thank you both.
