Grahame Grieve (Feb 04 2019 at 02:48):
I don't agree with the disposition of this tsak - it would be better to add some property to the test, so that testing frameworks can decide whether the test applies or not
Grahame Grieve (Feb 04 2019 at 02:52):
I'm happy with the rest of the dispositions
Bryn Rhodes (Feb 04 2019 at 03:09):
Hmmm.... so I updated the disposition on this one, but I agree with the statement that the "test is more restrictive than the spec". If an engine refuses to evaluate .children().skip(), isn't that engine non-compliant?
Grahame Grieve (Feb 04 2019 at 03:17):
I think that if an engine doesn't return things in order, it should be allowed to refuse to do skip on the unordered list without being called non-compliant
Bryn Rhodes (Feb 04 2019 at 03:19):
That's reasonable, but then the spec should allow for that.
Bryn Rhodes (Feb 04 2019 at 03:20):
I added this to the disposition:
Bryn Rhodes (Feb 04 2019 at 03:20):
In addition, add a note to the specification that implementations may return an error when an attempt is made to perform an order-dependent operation on an unordered list.
Grahame Grieve (Feb 04 2019 at 03:22):
ok. I second the block vote now
