It's so hard to parse the HL7 calendars ... :|

Thank you for being interested!

Yes, there is a call every Thursday at 1pm ET, except holidays like Thanksgiving. Call-in info is always on our WG's home page, bit.ly/hl7patients

Rant: (I hope the following is wrong but everyone I've asked has said this is reality)

Honestly I have tired of maintaining the stupid HL7 call calendars: the site only allows creating a certain number of meetings in each batch (some number of weeks) and when it expires it can't be extended or even renewed - the system forgets every bit of information so it must all be manually re-entered. I am sick of it and will no longer make it a source of misery in my life.

I know HL7 wants to improve public participation. Infrastructure disgraces like this cannot be tolerated anymore, IMO; as I say, I'm tired of it and will no longer enable its persistence by wasting my effort coping with it.

Totally agree with your rant @Dave deBronkart. I feel the same way.

@Wayne Kubick @Melva Peters the system used for the calendar scheduling is being replaced. Melva/Wayne note that it would be nice if calendar entries did not expire.

Thank you, ePatientDave and Virgina!

LOL (with a grimace) - I'd say that's not "it would be nice," it's a REQUIREMENT.

Is there a process I missed for soliciting user input on the "being replaced" project?

@Josh Mandel did the calendar issue get tracked or escalated?

view this post on Zulip Josh Mandel (Dec 06 2021 at 04:04):

I think this is a question for @Wayne Kubick or @Melva Peters based on Virginia's note above.

The calendar will be replaced, though not likely until the Association Mgmt System replacement occurs. I don't believe the project has formally commenced yet, and the requirements haven't been defined. Copying @Eric Schmitt.
