Topic: Which Atlanta sessions are relevant?
Dave deBronkart (Sep 10 2019 at 16:10):
@Virginia Lorenzi @Debi Willis @Grahame Grieve @Lloyd McKenzie or ANYONE, help me figure out which sessions (on the web agenda pages or not) I need to plan for.
- I'm not finding the WG Agendas page helpful for this
- The headings "Plenary Schedule" and "Tutorial Information" on the WGM page look useful ... but who can help me decide whether I should for instance spend 3+ hours Monday on "SMART and CDS Hooks" or on "Intro to HL7 FHIR"
I could go on, but you get the picture. @Rien Wertheim, you seem particularly interested in my being a public voice ... how can I optimize my Atlanta time?
Lloyd McKenzie (Sep 10 2019 at 17:42):
Our agendas and visibility of what's happening and ability to search for stuff of interest (or even to find out who expects to be where) are all significant challenges right now. I've got ideas for tooling that will help, but there's lots of other tooling things in motion right now that are even more urgent. Hopefully the combined agenda I post Fri/Sat will be somewhat helpful.
Rien Wertheim (Sep 11 2019 at 13:05):
I remember my first WGM: you feel lost. You have to learn your way around, get to know people. In your case, definitely visit the patient care and the patient administration work groups, so you get a feel of the work that HL7 is actually doing.
Virginia Lorenzi (Sep 11 2019 at 22:53):
So true
