Today the venerable open-access JMIR (Jour Medical Internet Resrch) published a too-long article of mine :-) on the past ten years's odyssey. It lays out my perspective on the evolution of health IT and social aspects, leading up to how important I think FHIR is, and why.
I'm not saying anyone will be particularly fascinated, but it's my stake in the ground; it's pretty much the reason why I'm trying to rearrange my life to work on FHIR as much as I can.
