Where is a good non-health-IT-nerd introduction to the Final Rule? I don't need the whole thing, just enough for this:
A colleague outside health IT works in the field of online dispute resolution: arbitration, credit card disputes, etc. I was telling him about the emerging age of patient visibility into their charts, and the probability that patient requests for corrections will be a big workload, hungering for automation, and I wondered if his work (e.g. their workflows) could be repurposed for use in health IT.
He asked for an overview, to share with his colleagues in the field. Thoughts?
