Stream: patient empowerment
Topic: 100 days of COVID
Dave deBronkart (Oct 19 2020 at 16:21):
I just learned about this from @Jan Oldenburg on her Pt Contributed Data project call: Frank Cutitta of HIMSS's petrifying story
One hundred days battling COVID-19
“When somebody says we’re going to put you under and we don’t know when you’re going to wake up, you just latch on to anything,” said Cutitta. “It’s like, can I have five more minutes, warden, before you put me in the execution chamber?”
@Keith Boone what can you tell me about what SANER is doing around so-called "long COVID"? Are any patient communities focusing on any particular data, or any sort of data, structured or subjective?
Keith Boone (Oct 27 2020 at 09:39):
@Dave deBronkart , not much I'm afraid. Situational Awareness (the first two letters of the acronym), is about making urgently needed data available to support imminent response. Long COVID fits into the urgent category surely, but not into the imminent category.
Dave deBronkart (Oct 27 2020 at 21:19):
Sensible (SANE?) response. Thanks.
