@Michelle (Moseman) Miller , @Melva Peters I am proposing this extension for OO resources GF#15824, but I see more general use for it across other resources outside of OO. Do you think it would be appropriate to make it a generalized extension or bring up on a case by case by basis? I'm thinking of Condition and Procedure in particular.

This sounds like a similar use case Pharmacy has for the MedicationKnowledge resource (at least if I understand the Gforge tracker). We have an attribute called "monograph" that points to either a DocumentReference or Media at the moment. The use case is to provide additional documentation.
