Topic: CLIA elements
Michelle (Moseman) Miller (Jul 31 2018 at 14:46):
How is the CLIA performing/testing lab represented on Observation? Is there agreement or guidance on whether to represent it using the event-location extension (Location) or Observation.performer (Organization)? CC: @Andrew Torres

Doing a little digging and trying to refresh my memory:

@Andrea Pitkus, PhD, MLS(ASCP)CM, CSM ? thoughts
Jay Lyle (Dec 02 2021 at 19:14):
Is there a way to distinguish a CLIA-governed lab report from lab result information surfaced in an EHR (e.g., with translations)?
Eric Haas (Dec 06 2021 at 16:27):
Provenance?
Andrea Pitkus, PhD, MLS(ASCP)CM, CSM (Dec 23 2021 at 04:34):
Not sure I understand the question entirely. Any lab report of record performed in a CLIA lab would have a CLIA" along with the lab 's address and other required CLIA elements. There are point of care waived tests, but assume you aren't referring to those?
