http://hl7.org/fhir/uv/sdc/StructureDefinition/sdc-questionnaire-observationLinkPeriod
says "Indicates the time-period (from 'now') to search for observations that match the Questionnaire.item.code and Questionnaire.subject when pre-populating the QuestionnaireResponse"
What's the relationship between Questionnaire.item.code
, Questionnaire.item.definition
, and ObservationDefinition
? I think it makes sense for Questionnaire.item.definition
to also be able to reference an ObservationDefinition...

Paul Lynch (Aug 26 2019 at 13:05):
What is the motivation for doing that?
Questionnaire.item.definition currently provides a number of fields for the item (required, repeats, maxLength) which an ObservationDefinition does not have. (I am also not sure the type fields align, though I think there is a pending GForge item to adjust the item.type for R5).
Grahame Grieve (Aug 26 2019 at 13:15):
no they would be inferred with a little more challenge from ObservationDefinition. OTOH, using an ObservationDefinition would be more helpful if you 're using observation-link-period
Paul Lynch (Aug 28 2019 at 15:16):
How would ObservationDefinition be more helpful to observationLinkPeriod than item.code?
