The IG-build is smart enough to tell me:

Publishing Content Failed: exception parsing pack /Users/ehaas/Documents/FHIR/Davinci-R4/source/resources/template-profile-spreadsheet: base/ resource url mismatch: http://hl7.org/fhir/us/davinci-deqm-r4 vs http://www.fhir.org/guides/test3/StructureDefinition/extension-blah (33.0977sec)

can it just make the change and inform me instead?

and keep on going?

Do you really want the code making changes to your resources? :)

in this case yes. I think it could be an option. all that static meta-crap ;-) status, version, publisher date, I could and should do it myself but haven't gotten around to it yet. so maybe is more a note to myself

I could imagine imposing a template on much of the metadata, but can't imagine just 'fixing' the canonical URL
