Topic: ig resources errors for STU3 IG
Eric Haas (Sep 27 2019 at 04:59):
I am updating an STU3 IG for ballot trackers and there are a bunch of new QA errors on the STU3 IG resource. I generate it and know it is good going. But the ig-pub is transforming it adding a dozen package elements for each spreadsheet and then creating a dozen errors. Is this a bug or a new requirement?
Eric Haas (Sep 27 2019 at 05:00):
Are we now supposed to be using the latest IG resource?
Grahame Grieve (Sep 27 2019 at 07:11):
the publisher does internally. which IG is this? I'll have a look. you shouldn't be getting errors for stuff the publisher does internally, but I have unfinished business there '
Eric Haas (Sep 27 2019 at 16:43):
DEQM R3. I can use a R4 ig resource for it if that would better. It’s not time critical right now but will need to figure it out when we publish
Lloyd McKenzie (Sep 27 2019 at 17:27):
If you're using the framework, it ought to be stripping the packages Grahame adds for the spreadsheets. (And if you're not, why not?)
Eric Haas (Sep 27 2019 at 18:42):
plan to cut over soon and start tweaking. :-)
Eric Haas (Oct 15 2019 at 16:37):
ping on this - still an issue for STU3 DEQM.

I won't be cutting this or US Core over to the templates before it is published btw...
Grahame Grieve (Oct 15 2019 at 18:21):
can you be specific - what is still an issue?
Eric Haas (Oct 15 2019 at 18:33):
The ig-pub is transforming the implementationguide resource and adding a dozen package elements (one for each spreadsheet) and then creating a dozen errors like so:
Eric Haas (Oct 15 2019 at 18:34):
here is the source resource: https://github.com/HL7/davinci-deqm/blob/master/source/resources/ig.xml
Grahame Grieve (Oct 15 2019 at 18:55):
@Lloyd McKenzie I'm trying to remember what's going on here. For spreadsheets and bundles, we're adding extra groups to the IG resource. Why are we doing that? We didn't mean for them to continue to be defined other than for the template?
Grahame Grieve (Oct 15 2019 at 19:05):
the problem with Eric's guide is that the resources in the spreadsheet are listed already, so it's just adding groups that nothing references - the resources are already in a group. So.... I don't know what use this is. What did you want to do with this
Lloyd McKenzie (Oct 15 2019 at 19:38):
The 'officlal' template should be stripping off all of the spreadsheet groups and defining its own (better) groups.
Lloyd McKenzie (Oct 15 2019 at 19:38):
That's what it was doing with SDC anyhow...
Grahame Grieve (Oct 15 2019 at 21:00):
why are we creating them at all?
