Topic: US Realm IG errrors on US only link

For the eCR IG (US Realm) we include a link ( https://ecr.aimsplatform.org/). I can't access it from here unless I change location with a VPN to the USA (which is correct, it's a US only link). (http://build.fhir.org/ig/HL7/case-reporting/branches/master/index.html)

But the IG Publisher is erroring "The link 'ecr.aimsplatform.org' for "ecr.aimsplatform.org" cannot be resolved" (http://build.fhir.org/ig/HL7/case-reporting/branches/master/qa.html )

@Grahame Grieve Is this an error we can ignore? Or something you can fix?

Actually wondering if changing the link text to https://ecr.aimsplatform.org will fix it. Just trying that now. One wouldn't think it would matter as it's the text, but...

Nope, same error.

it's awesomely disgraceful to have content that is forbidden to browsers whose public ip geolocates to outside USA.

however, I don't believe that has anything to do with this error, since there's no logic to check external links (how could there be?). Where exactly are you using it?

Just in some text on the main page: http://build.fhir.org/ig/HL7/case-reporting/branches/master/index.html
Search for "aims".

I just rebuilt and the link error is gone! Did you change something @Grahame Grieve ??

view this post on Zulip Grahame Grieve (Oct 30 2019 at 03:40):

no

I guess I did something that fixed it then... Wierd. Clearly something I did wrong then.

it's because I said it should actually work

Must be!! Nice!

view this post on Zulip Sarah Gaunt (Oct 30 2019 at 03:47):

Ack - I think it was a trailing "/" that screwed it up. I actually don't remember removing it, but I clearly did and now it works. I'm blaming jetlag (though you're probably the last person I should use that excuse with!)...

I might be good at appreciating it
