Topic: Slicing Information from validator
Lloyd McKenzie (Jul 24 2020 at 18:33):
When we run the publisher and there's a slicing issue, we get a handy-dandy 'Slicing Information' entry to help figure out what's going on. Is there a way to spit out that same information when launching the validator in stand-alone?

not at the moment. do you want to create a github issue about that?
Lloyd McKenzie (Jul 24 2020 at 21:44):

(though given that it's issue#1, I'm wondering if I posted in the right place?)

I don't know what that other repository is.
Lloyd McKenzie (Jul 24 2020 at 21:47):
@James Agnew - should that other repository go away? (May be confusing to other folks than just me :) )

James Agnew (Jul 24 2020 at 22:26):
That repo is a new UI for the validator that @Mark Iantorno is working on. It's brand new so it doesn't yet have a readme, but it probably should...
Mark Iantorno (Jul 24 2020 at 22:26):
I will be making a big push to that repo on Monday or Tuesday that will include a readme
Grahame Grieve (Jul 24 2020 at 22:27):
oh that's what it is. It should be called something slightly different then ([x]-ui), and the readme should direct people to the validator core for issues
Mark Iantorno (Jul 24 2020 at 22:27):
At the top I'll put a message like "please ignore me"
Mark Iantorno (Jul 24 2020 at 22:27):
Sorry for the confusion
Mark Iantorno (Jul 24 2020 at 22:28):
Please stick to the repos you have been already using.
Lloyd McKenzie (Jul 25 2020 at 01:16):
I hadn't been using any (that I could remember :)) - thus the confusion
