Topic: Logical models in an IGuide?
Jean Duteau (Aug 20 2020 at 20:41):
I have made my first Logical Model and I'm trying to get it included in my Implementation Guide. I went back and looked at the Zulip history and I'm not sure if IGs can have Logical models but mine certainly isn't displaying very well.
Grahame Grieve (Aug 20 2020 at 20:42):
certainly it should work. How is it not displaying very well?
Jean Duteau (Aug 20 2020 at 20:43):
well, I have a page with my model that shows no elements
Jean Duteau (Aug 20 2020 at 20:44):
i tried to copy my logical model based off of the models that are found in the core spec (specifically, Definition).
Grahame Grieve (Aug 20 2020 at 20:48):
showing no elements isn't quite the intent. It's kind of a fake news mode
Jean Duteau (Aug 20 2020 at 20:49):
Might it be that I'm not putting it in the right directory in the input?
To verify, my baseDefinition should be 'Element' right?

yes.

Just to follow up, I found your response funny, but I want to confirm that it is supposed to display semi-nicely so I'm doing something wrong since I'm not getting any content?
Grahame Grieve (Aug 20 2020 at 21:04):
yes definitely something is wrong. You should get a display like this:
Grahame Grieve (Aug 20 2020 at 21:05):
https://build.fhir.org/ig/HL7/cda-core-2.0/StructureDefinition-ClinicalDocument.html - this IG is all logical models
Jean Duteau (Aug 20 2020 at 21:07):
you have the base definition as Base instead of Element
Grahame Grieve (Aug 20 2020 at 21:14):
does that matter? it shouldn't? (though Base would probably match your intent better)
Jean Duteau (Aug 20 2020 at 21:16):
well, i get an error when I change it to Base. :)
There is something wonky going on because my StructureDefinition has all of the information and is then being converted into a StructureDefinition that has nothing in it.
StructureDefinition-LabelerLogicalModel.json StructureDefinition-LabelerLogicalModel.json
First one is input, second one is output
Grahame Grieve (Aug 20 2020 at 21:21):
try using the differential
Jean Duteau (Aug 20 2020 at 21:23):
yep, that made it work. thx
