Stream: IG creation
Topic: Links in OperatinDefinition rendering
Josh Mandel (Jul 31 2019 at 22:54):
Looking at https://gforge.hl7.org/gf/project/fhir/tracker/?action=TrackerItemEdit&tracker_item_id=21957 -- does the IG publisher allow links to be created within the description (narrative) of an OperationDefinition?
Josh Mandel (Jul 31 2019 at 22:55):
(And similarly, is it possible to add links in the "Documentation" column of an OperationDefinition's
parameter list?
Josh Mandel (Jul 31 2019 at 23:00):
Embedding markdown seems to work ... okay, even though the descriptions are technically strings.
Grahame Grieve (Jul 31 2019 at 23:34):
might want to make a task about that
Josh Mandel (Jul 31 2019 at 23:50):
pasted image is an example of the desired output (note the two hyperlinks).
Josh Mandel (Jul 31 2019 at 23:50):
I created GF#23034
Eric Haas (Aug 01 2019 at 01:12):
Right now I go in and manually edit the generated narrative html. Not ideal but good in a pinch
Grahame Grieve (Aug 01 2019 at 01:17):
I'm confused. this is or isn't working?
Josh Mandel (Aug 01 2019 at 02:42):
It's working but I'm unclear if this is a supported/intended feature, and if having markdown appear in the json/xml is legit.
Grahame Grieve (Aug 01 2019 at 02:44):
it's a string so you can put markdown in there. You just can't expect it to be processed. But in this the IG publisher is processing the markdown anyway
Josh Mandel (Aug 01 2019 at 12:20):
And should I expect it to continue doing so in the future?
Grahame Grieve (Aug 01 2019 at 12:22):
yes. particularly now you created the task ;-)
Josh Mandel (Aug 01 2019 at 13:06):
Perfect, thanks!
