Topic: Linking to an Existing IG
Nagesh Bashyam (Mar 13 2019 at 17:18):
Hello,
I am trying to link to an old Implementation Guide using the absolute URL (http://hl7.org/fhir/us/daf-research/) which works but gives me a build error.
Is there some variable {{site.data.fhir}} or something else that i can use to avoid the build error.
The actual error is as follows : The link 'http://hl7.org/fhir/us/daf-research/' for "DAF-Research" cannot be resolved
Any thoughts is appreciated.

I see that @Sarah Gaunt had a similar issue, but did not see any concrete resolution to the thread..hence the question.
Eric Haas (Mar 13 2019 at 19:14):
The absolute address should work. I don’t a site variable would change that.
Eric Haas (Mar 13 2019 at 19:16):
If you want to create you own site variable can configure in the _config.yml file in the framework folder. For example. {{ site.daf-resrch }}
Lloyd McKenzie (Mar 13 2019 at 19:18):
There's publishing validation issues with hyperlinks to anything under http://hl7.org that isn't a formally defined dependency.
Lloyd McKenzie (Mar 13 2019 at 19:18):
For now, if you specify a link that takes you to the right place and the hyperlink works, call it "good enough" until Grahame decides if he needs something else.
Grahame Grieve (Mar 14 2019 at 07:02):
it should work once this release builds. I'll look if it doesn't
Nagesh Bashyam (Mar 15 2019 at 17:29):
This works now on the latest build...thanks Grahame
