Speaking of 3166:-2, the language of the display names seem all over the place. I see that ISO says they are the name preferred by the jurisdiction, but I doubt anyone in the province of Prince Edward Island, Canada would agree that Île-du-Prince-Édouard is the commonly preferred name in this English-speaking part of the country.
