Topic: ImplementationGuideInput and Output
Lloyd McKenzie (Feb 20 2018 at 19:13):
So, now that we've settled on what's needed for Input and Output, are we going to collapse into one resource with two profiles or leave as two resources. (And if the latter, what do we want to call them? My vote for names if we keep the split is "ImplementationGuideSource" and "ImplementationGuideManifest")
Jose Costa Teixeira (Feb 20 2018 at 19:14):
I think i prefer those being different things
Jose Costa Teixeira (Feb 20 2018 at 19:16):
but that is just because they would be on different ends of a machine.
Jose Costa Teixeira (Feb 20 2018 at 19:25):
Would we want that an ImplementationGuideManifest can be used as a Source?
Grahame Grieve (Feb 20 2018 at 19:51):
transitioning to these is going to be interesting because of versioning issues... I think that authors will have to provide this in R4 version... but what do I produce for R3?
Eric Haas (Feb 20 2018 at 20:49):
I vote for no changes in R3.
Lloyd McKenzie (Feb 20 2018 at 20:55):
Well, certainly no change for May ballot
Lloyd McKenzie (Feb 20 2018 at 20:56):
I.e. we wouldn't start using them
Lloyd McKenzie (Feb 20 2018 at 20:56):
If this ballot indicates the intention to replace, we could implement that post May for R4 publication
Eric Haas (Feb 20 2018 at 21:04):
I meant no changes for R3 Version IGs. I think R3 artifacts should be produced for R3 guides ( OK if R4 artifact created too) but I certainly don't want to have start using IGSource on an R3 base IG to maintain or edit.
Grahame Grieve (Feb 20 2018 at 21:05):
I don't really have any choice about the input; I'm certainly not supporting multiple inputs
Grahame Grieve (Feb 20 2018 at 21:05):
I'll probably have to produce both outputs - R3 and R4 - for R3 guides
Eric Haas (Feb 20 2018 at 21:07):
I am talking about the inputs. but I see your point. :-(
Lloyd McKenzie (Feb 20 2018 at 21:26):
Inputs have to change I think
Lloyd McKenzie (Feb 20 2018 at 21:26):
Outputs can be automagically converted
Eric Haas (Feb 20 2018 at 21:36):
first your are sunsetting spreadsheets and now no more ig.json - next is Jekyll
Eric Haas (Feb 20 2018 at 21:36):
:-)
