Hi all,
We are creating the Implementation guide. We want to use this https://simplifier.net Implementation Guide. Can anyone suggest me how to do this.
Thank you.

What have you tried and where are you running into trouble?

I want to edit/change my tabs in IG . How can I do that. I cant find a file where these are editable and I can add new tabs. Please guide me. I want to change the tabs circled in red below .

This capabilitystatement https://build.fhir.org/ig/teryfly/US-Core-R4/CapabilityStatement-us-core-client.html contains the 3 tabs I want similar tabs for my IG .

Please help me in this case

why would you not want the definitions tab for a profile? or an examples list? They're useful.

view this post on Zulip Grahame Grieve (Jun 16 2021 at 11:15):

Are you saying you want to suppress the turtle tab?

view this post on Zulip Laxmi Singh (Jun 16 2021 at 11:21):

Yeah I want to remove some of the tabs like US core IG did for capabilityStatement resource page https://www.hl7.org/fhir/us/core/CapabilityStatement-us-core-server.html. I do not want to show any Examples . Is it possible to change this tab ? I want a new tab with title as 'Narrative Content'

view this post on Zulip Jose Costa Teixeira (Jun 16 2021 at 11:28):

The easiest way to not showing examples tab is to not add the examples.

view this post on Zulip Jose Costa Teixeira (Jun 16 2021 at 11:28):

The tab is automatically created if there are examples

view this post on Zulip Jose Costa Teixeira (Jun 16 2021 at 11:29):

you can hide the TTL tab with an IG parameter

view this post on Zulip Jose Costa Teixeira (Jun 16 2021 at 11:30):

but a profile is expected to have different tabs than a capabilitystatement, so I have the same question - why?

view this post on Zulip Jose Costa Teixeira (Jun 16 2021 at 11:31):

IG editors cannot configure the tabs (this is intended). IG template authors can.

I am creating capabilityStatement resource page for my company's IG. We referred to US CORE IG . We found it useful , they don't have any 'example' , 'mappings', 'detailed description' and 'TTL' tab. We planned to make in the similar fashion. That is why I was trying to find a way to remove some of the tabs.

I also noticed they do not have any section called 'Formal view of Profile Content' under tab'Narrative Content'. I was also thinking to make it in similar fashion with those 3 tabs like US core https://build.fhir.org/ig/teryfly/US-Core-R4/CapabilityStatement-us-core-client.html

ok a few questions:

view this post on Zulip Jose Costa Teixeira (Jun 16 2021 at 12:03):

  1. what IG template are you using?

view this post on Zulip Jose Costa Teixeira (Jun 16 2021 at 12:03):

  1. does your IG render a capabilitystatement with examples?

view this post on Zulip Jose Costa Teixeira (Jun 16 2021 at 12:04):

the US core IG does have "detailed description":

view this post on Zulip Jose Costa Teixeira (Jun 16 2021 at 12:05):

and 3. what do you mean "creating a capabilitystatement resoruce page"?

view this post on Zulip Eric Haas (Jun 16 2021 at 13:25):

The CapabilityStatement is an example instance. Not a profile. These use two different templates

view this post on Zulip Eric Haas (Jun 16 2021 at 13:25):

There are only three tabs for the example

You can hide tabs for profiles using parameters in implementation guide resource

view this post on Zulip Laxmi Singh (Jun 16 2021 at 15:12):

@Eric Haas Thank you for bringing this point. I got confused I was looking for some example of capabilitystatement and referred US core IG, and could find only https://build.fhir.org/ig/teryfly/US-Core-R4/CapabilityStatement-us-core-client.html as there capabilitystatement confused this with their edited profile.

It is just an example of CapabilityStatement profile as you mentioned. Dont they have any CapabilityStatement profile page and Is it ok to show the capabilityStatement of my IG just like this i.e. example without any profile. If yes how can I create such example page directly, any documentation is helpful. ??

@Jose Costa Teixeira Sorry for the confusion.

there is almost on reason that you'd be profiling CapabilityStatement. Your guide's CapabilityStatements will always be instances of the resources and thus examples.

I was able to do it by simply adding an xml file . Xml content was shown in XML tab and JSON content automatically created. Is this a correct way to do, I was able to do without creating any spreadsheet. How will I get narrative content ? Is there any documentation link??Screenshot below:

Is it not important to show Capability statement profile ??
I have added metadata xml file content in my IG and those 4 tabs got generated. Do I have to manually add the narrative content ?? How Narrative content will appear here ??

view this post on Zulip Lloyd McKenzie (Jun 25 2021 at 04:19):

Creating a profile on CapabilityStatement would mean you're saying "these are rules for other systems that define CapabilityStatements". If you're wanting to publish your own CapabilityStatement, that'll be a CapabilityStatement instance, not a profile on CapabilityStatements in general.

Does your existing metadata.xml file have any narrative? If the narrative is omitted entirely, one should be generated by the publication process.

Hello @Lloyd McKenzie Thanks for the response. I got the solution. If I omit narrative, it gets automatically generated.
